The 300 Million-Immigrant Factor Facing America

Published on July 1st, 2014

With immigration’s continued onslaught prompted by the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, we added 100 million people to America from 1965 to 2007. We jumped from 194 million people to 300 million in 42 years. That same bill guarantees our country another 100 million immigrants within just 30 years.

Nonetheless, our U.S. Senate, supposedly representing our best interests as citizens, passed S.744, the amnesty bill, last year. Not only does that bill give amnesty to 15-20 million migrants, it increases our legal immigration onslaught from 1.1 to 2 million immigrants annually. Speaker of the House John Boehner then attempts to ram it through his body without a single thought to the long-term consequences. Just like the late Teddy Kennedy with his 1965 fiasco!

The final result of S.744 if the House signs up in some form would eventually guarantee a U.S. population increase from the current 319 million to 625 million before this century closes. It forces us into being the third-fastest growing country on the planet behind China and India. It means we will triple the populations of our 35 most populated cities. Picture New York City growing from 8.3 million people to 24.9 million. How do you water, feed, house, warm, transport, provide work, educate and medicate THAT many people? How do you maintain a viable environment?

Here’s the reality of adding 300 million people: It guarantees that every citizen faces endemic poverty, lowered quality of life and diminished standard of living.

My long-time friend Dr. Al Bartlett referred to anyone who preached endless growth as “innumerates,” or as he said, “Innumeracy is the mathematical equivalent of illiteracy.” The famous economist Julian Simon proved himself an extreme “innumerate.” He flat out couldn’t grasp the reality of a finite planet.

Dr. Bartlett challenged every American to “think of any problem, on any scale, from microscopic to global, whose long-term solution is in any demonstrable way aided, assisted or advanced by having larger populations at the local level, the state level, the national level or globally.”

One of Dr. Bartlett’s academic friends at the University of Colorado, economist Kenneth Boulding said, “Anyone who believes in indefinite growth in anything physical, on a physically finite planet, is either a madman or an economist.”

Whether or not you can envision the danger in the sheer numbers, it won’t be pretty for anyone. And if you “see” the magnitude of the environmental damage to North America, it cannot help but send a shiver up your spine.

If you need help visualizing this, watch Roy Beck’s “Immigration by the numbers – off the chart” (and share it with your friends). It dramatically illustrates the impact of unending mass immigration on quality of life and sustainability for future generations. It is truly mind boggling!

If the House of Representatives passes S.744, our country cannot and will not survive the 21st century as a sustainable civilization, and it will not survive as an “intact” culture, with an American ethos. We must defeat S.744, or any similar version, and Congress from inundating our country with 300 million more people. If not, our civilization and children become victims, as Dr. Bartlett said, of “innumeracy” which equates to illiteracy.

If you care about your children, about our environment, about the future – take action. Join us at CAPS to help Save Some America for tomorrow!
