DHS Sets up Toll-Free Numbers for Unhappy Illegal Immigrants

Published on February 19th, 2015

Pop quiz on immigration: Describe how the Department of Homeland Security is like Macy’s?

Answer: Both have toll-free telephone numbers for disgruntled customers to register complaints.

The difference is that Macy’s patrons might be trying to resolve an incorrect invoice, while DHS will be fielding complaints from aliens alleging that their rights under President Obama’s amnesty have been violated during their unlawful entry into the United States. Customs and Border Protection will ask the illegal immigrants to provide details of any perceived injustices that may be inconsistent with DHS enforcement priorities. Watch the video here.

In an effort to ensure that all aliens will potentially have a fair shot to voice their displeasure, there will be three hotlines established, one each for CBP, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Citizens and Immigration Services, which will be handling the millions of amnesty applications President Obama’s executive action generate. Previously issued guidelines have warned agents to ignore aliens who claim longtime U.S. residency or other extenuating circumstances that may warrant protection from deportation.

Border patrol agents are rightfully indignant at yet another slap in the face from Obama. Shawn Moran, the National Border Patrol National Council vice president, said that instead of supporting agents who put their lives on the line, Obama looks for ways to ridicule agents and initiate complaints against them. Moran demanded that Obama spend less time bowing to pro-illegal immigrant organizations and more time defending his law enforcement officers.

Please go to the CAPS Action Alert page here to ask your Senator to pass the House version of the DHS spending bill that would block the Obama amnesty and negate the need for special phone numbers for illegal immigrants.
