Obama’s Relentless Push For Amnesty Continues

Published on March 30th, 2011

Behind America’s back, Attorney General Eric Holder has met privately in his Capitol Hill office with his Utah counterpart Mark Shurtleff. The two are plotting a way for the federal government to circumvent the Constitution and approve Utah’s amnesty bill, H.R. 116. Utah’s bill recently signed by Governor Gary Herbert would create a guest worker program for illegal immigrants, despite the fact that immigration and work status fall under the federal government’s jurisdiction. If implemented, H.R. 116 would block thousands of Americans from getting jobs that are currently held by illegal aliens. It would also invite more illegal aliens to come to Utah to apply for (and probably get) those jobs. This is yet another brazen attempt by the Obama administration to get a backdoor amnesty. Under the Constitution, Utah cannot have an immigration policy different than the other 49 states. To go into effect, H.R. 116 needs Washington’s sanction. Compare and contrast Obama’s actions in Utah to his Arizona tactics. On the very day that Arizona governor Jan Brewer signed S. B. 1070, a bill that would allow law enforcement officers under certain circumstances to question a resident’s immigration status, Obama in a Rose Garden speech full of pomp and circumstance, announced his intention to sue the state. But in Utah Obama, in a direct violation of his oath of office, is scheming for a way to it to illegal import alien workers. If there’s any good news in the Obama administration’s sordid treasonous acts, it’s that H.R. 116 will be challenged in court and almost certainly thrown out.
