Texas Buses Illegal Border Crossers to DC

Published on April 15th, 2022

Now that is one way to send a message to the politicians in DC.

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas has had enough of the federal government’s complete inaction on the border crisis.

Per Fox News, Gov. Abbott decided to take drastic action and bring the problem to the front door of Congress.

A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state.

The
Fox News report adds that while some see this as a publicity stunt, the federal government has stopped dropping off illegal immigrants in towns around Texas since Abbott announced this.

What isn’t a stunt is the ever growing crisis at our nation’s southern border.

States like Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California bear the brunt of lax federal immigration policies.

Rises in illegal immigration put a strain on border patrol and those living in border towns.

Credit to Gov. Abbott for bringing attention to this growing crisis, which unfortunately looks set to only become worse.

As CAPS recently pointed out, Biden’s plan to rescind Title 42 could cause a potentially historic crisis at our border.

Even a Washington Post columnist, hardly a paper known for publishing hardline immigration stances, panned the Biden administration’s plan to lift this policy.

It’s about time the politicians in DC got a glimpse of what everyday Americans deal with in border states and towns.

Especially when they’re the ones allowing it to get worse and worse.
