White House Latest: Aliens May only Need Two Weeks “in the shadows” before exemption from deportation

As I’ve said countless times, nothing is ever enough for the brazen, well-funded, well organized illegal immigration lobby. President Obama has already granted prosecutorial discretion to young illegal immigrants, alien parents of citizen children, and illegal immigrant relatives of military personnel.

And even though deportations from the interior are at the lowest level since 1973, DHS has promised to put the process under review with a goal toward making deportations “more humane.” Given what we know about how few aliens are deported, “more humane” must translate into none at all.

But this week, Capitol Hill insiders learned that President Obama’s White House Domestic Policy Council’s director and former La Raza operative Cecelia Munoz, wants the definition how of long an illegal immigrant should be considered new, and therefore non-removable, reduced from three years to two weeks. Clarifying: any future alien that can enter the U.S. and hide out for a mere two weeks would be safe from deportation.

Remaining for two weeks “in the shadows,” to borrow immigration advocates’ favorite phrase, isn’t much of a challenge given that more than one million removable aliens are currently at large in U.S. communities.

Other outrages are under serious White House consideration (and therefore probable eventualities): allowing bond hearings for detained aliens that could result in their being set free, and removing multiple immigration offenders from the priority-to-deport list.

Please go to the CAPS Action Alert page here to tell President Obama you demand the Executive Office enforce the nation’s immigration laws as they are written.
