White House Rolls Out Red Carpet for Aliens, Insults WWII Vets

Published on October 9th, 2013

Luckily for beleaguered White House officials, someone woke up just in time to avert a public relations disaster. The October 8 illegal alien march, officially named Camino Americano: March for Immigrant Dignity and Respect, has long been scheduled at the now officially closed National Mall.

Earlier during the federal government shutdown, WWII veterans were denied access to that same mall where their memorial is located. According to the National Park Service, the illegal immigrants and their pro-amnesty lobby were allowed to hold their event to protect their First Amendment rights, the same reasoning the NPS used when it eventually reopened the mall for the vets.

If the administration’s oversight hadn’t been caught in time, it would have been another glaring example of how illegal immigrants’ agenda trumps everyone and everything else, even aging, wheelchair-bound veterans. [WWII Veterans Cross Barricade Despite Shut Down, ABC News.com, October 1, 2013]

Veterans were visiting the memorial as part of Honor Flight, a nonprofit that pays the transportation costs to Washington so that those who served can visit the memorials to the wars in which they fought. Their trips are planned a year in advance.

The immigration march required police protection, with additional related set-up and break-down costs. No such costs are involved when senior citizen veterans visit their memorials.

Even though the mall is open air, it remains closed to the general public.
