Big Business Hypocrisy and the Latest Push for Amnesty

Published on March 6th, 2021

As tens of thousands of migrants arrive at the southern border, spurred on by the promise of amnesty from the Biden administration, an alliance of more than 100 big businesses and industry organizations are seizing on the moment to push for more amnesty that helps their bottom line.

A recent letter from the coalition, which includes Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, sent to Congress, endorsed the American Dream and Promise Act. If passed, the bill would grant a pathway to citizenship for an estimated 2.1 million illegal alien “dreamers” currently living in the United States.

Earlier this week, Fox News host Lawrence Jones rightly pointed out that when it comes to big business and amnesty proposals, it’s all about cheap labor and their bottom line.

Americans should recognize the naked hypocrisy of big businesses like Google and Amazon who call for amnesty for “dreamers” while millions of Americans are unemployed.

If Congress and the Biden Administration were truly interested in helping our economy recover from the coronavirus pandemic and getting unemployed Americans back to work, they would reject all amnesty proposals on the table and keep immigration levels frozen.
