ICE ‘Error’ Allows Alien Gunman to Slaughter Five in Kansas, Missouri

Immigration and Customs Enforcement on mistakenly sending the detainer order on Mexican illegal alien Pablo Serrano-Vitorino to the wrong county jail: “We regret the error.” ICE dismissed its “error” as if it were a clerical oversight.
 
But because of the failure to detain Serrano-Vitorino, the 40-year-old illegal alien who had been deported in 2004, he murdered five in Kansas and Missouri. Serrano-Vitorino’s weapon of choice: an AK-47. ICE sent its detainer to the Johnson County, Kansas, sheriff’s office, but that agency never had Serrano-Vitorino in its custody.

The pattern of aliens committing violent crimes is too familiar. In the Serrano-Vitorino case, the alien had been previously deported, but had no trouble re-entering the United States. And a complete lack of interior enforcement allowed him to remain, and eventually kill five innocent people. He’s been charged with five counts of first degree murder, four in Kansas and one in Missouri. The latest statistics on interior enforcement show that criminal alien removals from the interior declined 27 percent, from 86,923 in 2014 to 63,127 in 2015.

ICE ineptitude leads to five deaths.

Serrano-Vitorino’s rap sheet is extensive. In addition to his 2004 illegal re-entry, a felony, Serrano-Vitorino was sentenced to prison in 2003 for making terrorist threats, arrested in 2014 for a DUI, and charged with domestic battery in 2015. In the Obama administration, however, aliens who commit domestic battery misdemeanors or rack up DUIs are low deportation priorities.
 
The media shares the blame for the continued disregard for immigration enforcement that enables criminal activity. While the local coverage of Serrano-Vitorino’s multiple murders has been respectably inclusive, the tragedy has not been widely published at this point, and has therefore not generated louder demands for enforcement.
 
Reporting on Illegal alien crime is more likely to appear in the foreign press than in U.S. media outlets. While searching the Internet for details on the Serrano-Vitorino murder, I came across this Daily Mail story that, even though I follow immigration news every day, I was unaware of. In Texas, two Mexican illegal aliens who may have been part of a gang of ten raped a teenage runaway, and recorded the horrific crime on their cell phone cameras. But because the perpetrators are unlawful aliens, the media suppressed an ugly story about an aggravated assault on a child.
 
Americans are rightly fed up and disgusted with the federal government’s permissiveness, often life-threatening, toward illegal aliens and their lobby.
