Nearly 600K Illegal Immigrants Released Have No Court Dates
Published on February 5th, 2023
A new report from NBC has some startling details on illegal aliens released into the USA.
According to their report, since March 2021 nearly 600,000 illegal aliens who were allowed to enter the USA have not been given court dates.
In July 2021, ICE implemented a new program called the Parole Plus Alternatives to Detention (usually shortened to Parole Plus ATD). Illegal aliens were released due to a lack of holding facilities which resulted from an increase in activity at the border starting around March 2021.
Illegal aliens were allowed into the USA, ostensibly tracked (either with ankle monitors or online check-ins), and given documentation. While a significant portion of those allowed in received court dates to determine their legal status, hundreds of thousands have yet to receive anything from the government.
Here’s more from the NBC report.
“Between late March 2021 and late January 2023, more than 800,000 migrants were released on Notices to Report or Parole Plus ATD. About 214,000 of them were eventually issued charging documents with court dates, according to data obtained by NBC News, meaning that roughly 588,000 did not know when or where to report for their asylum hearings.”
Over the past year the border crisis has spiraled out of control. In 2022, there were a string of ten months straight with over 200,000 encounters at the border.
In our blog on that topic, we also mentioned since Biden took office in January 2021 that there have been over 1.2 million “gotaways” who escaped into the country.
You can add to this the almost 600,000 more illegal aliens who are here waiting in legal limbo. When you do the math, that comes out to a nearly 1.8 million increase in America’s population due to illegal immigration alone.
The Biden administration’s most recent solution to the border crisis has been to allow 30,000 more refugees into the country every month from a select group of countries.
This is another massive increase in population, and that’s not even counting legal immigration, which is another contributing factor.
This is an unprecedented population increase that not a single American citizen has ever consented to. It’s never been put on a ballot, and many of our political leaders seem all too willing to ignore it.
With no end to the border crisis in sight, we can only imagine these numbers will increase this year, putting a further strain on our resources and environment.
