The purpose of the march was to show opposition to the recently passed Senate immigration bill, and to urge Congress and the Congressional Black Caucus to protect American labor by opposing amnesty as prescribed under the bill.
Featured speakers included: U.S. Senators Ted Cruz and Jeff Sessions, former Congressman Colonel Allen West, Congressman Steve King and Congressman Mo Brooks.
More than 3,000 participants from around the nation gathered at Freedom Plaza and marched to Upper Senate Park.
