When I think about what is happening to America and where we seem to be going, I am tempted to argue politics. However, I think a more clear and fundamental focus is to advocate zero population growth (ZPG). I believe every domestic issue we have goes back to the government allowing or paying for too many people to live here.
CAPS, Californians for Population Stabilization, started as a fragment of the executive leadership of the Sierra Club many years ago. This group was expelled from the organization for advocating immigration limits.
I feel better about sending a little money to these people with whom I agree highly, than to support the average politician with whom I agree only half.
In the present, I think we are doomed to suffer much environmental and resource degradation, along with unemployment and inflation. At least I can say I tried to do what I could while waiting for the voters to reach their threshold of pain. Only by electing ZPG-oriented leadership do we have a hope of achieving both environmental and economic stability.
