Marilyn Brant Chandler DeYoung has been elected board chair of Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS). She previously served as development chair. Mrs. DeYoung served on the board of Population Crisis Committee (now called Population Action International) for 23 years and on the board of Population Communications Inc. for seven years. She founded and chaired the nonprofit Population Education Committee, which concentrated on reducing teenage pregnancies in the U.S. She has also served on the President’s Commission on Population Growth and the American Future (1970-72), the White House Fellowship Commission and Southern California’s Association of Governments Regional Advisory Council.
