CAPS eNews and Action

Dramatic events have occurred since our last eNews. As the thorn of rapid population growth and over-immigration digs deeper, the people are responding.

America was struck by a tragic reminder that migration policies have serious unintended consequences. Dozens of people would still be alive today in Orlando had the U.S. not admitted the Mateen family into the country. Among the scandalous details to come to light, the father openly praised the Taliban back in Afghanistan and the killer himself was an employee of a DHS contractor. National security is yet another quality of life casualty to mass migration.

Thanks to the SCOTUS ruling President Obama's executive amnesty is no longer looming. This is huge news, as it prevents both the legalization of millions of illegal aliens and reduces the "I'll get the next amnesty" pull-factor for potential migrants.

On the international stage, the United Kingdom has voted to leave the European Union – a truly historic decision. One of the core issues driving this bold move forward is the British desire to retake control of their immigration system. CAPS understands!

New Ads Fight Back

CAPS’ push for open discussion of immigration led us to address the racism charge head on. We partnered with Frank Morris, former director of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, to produce a TV and radio ad.

In 30 seconds, Morris asserts that ending mass immigration is what's fair and beneficial for all working class Americans! The label of racist is too often used only to silence reasonable discussion.

Since Speaker Paul Ryan consistently caters to those who throw around the racism accusation, CAPS encourages you give his office a call and explain that limiting immigration is in the interests of more Americans than he suggests. To see the ad campaign click here!

CAPS Blog and Social Media

With each passing day CAPS’ social media presence is growing. In the last month, CAPS steamrolled past the 300,000 fans mark on Facebook with fantastic engagement rates. We appreciate your active support!

From the CAPS blog, read about the Dalai Lama’s refreshing comments on the migrant crisis in Europe. And, see our break-down of the latest, abysmal jobs report.

Growing Pains Video Contest

Take a look at the winners of the 2016 Growing Pains contest! These students did an excellent job illustrating the connection between population growth and resource consumption with crowded streets, water balloons, plastic balls, and fast food.

Pro-border momentum is building. Please do your part. Take every opportunity to engage with your community on these central issues of our time!

Earnestly,

Jo Wideman
CAPS Executive Director
