CAPS LAUNCHES TV ADS URGING SENATOR MCCAIN TO BACK OFF HIS MASS IMMIGRATION, AMNESTY PUSH

Despite 2007 Amnesty Defeat And Strong Resistance From Arizona Voters, McCain Insists On Increasing Mass Immigration And Amnesty

Phoenix, AZ – March 18, 2013 – Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) has launched TV, Radio and Online ads in Phoenix, Arizona. The ads urge Arizonans to call Senator McCain and ask him to stop his push for huge increases in immigrant workers and amnesty for more than 11 million illegal aliens.

McCain pushed a similar mass immigration, amnesty idea in 2007 that was resoundingly defeated after Americans across the country voiced strong opposition to his plan. Some of the loudest voices opposing the plan emanated from McCain’s own state of Arizona.

“John McCain cares more about satiating the cheap labor business interests that back his re-election campaigns than he does about the people of Arizona’s objections to his amnesty for illegal aliens,” commented Jo Wideman, Executive Director of CAPS. “Worse, Senator McCain has obviously calculated that he can get away with ramming this amnesty down Arizonans’ throats in a year when he’s not up for re-election. But like 2007, the Senator’s errant amnesty calculation will likely add up to another defeat.”

If McCain’s plan did become law, it would have implications far beyond Arizona, especially in places like California where more immigrant workers settle than any other state. “California is still one of the best places to live in the world, but the last thing we need is more immigration, more people who need jobs, more people using entitlement benefits driving our taxes higher,” commented Wideman. “It’s time to slow mass immigration and save some America for tomorrow.”

CAPS ads revolve around a Save Our States, S.O.S., theme and point out that Senator McCain’s plan would “bring in millions more immigrant workers to take our jobs.” And that amnesty would give illegal aliens access to entitlement benefits including trillions of dollars in welfare, Medicaid and Social Security benefits.
