House Speaker Ryan Push, Push, Pushing for Amnesty

Published on July 18th, 2016

Illegal aliens will get right with the law, learn English, assimilate, pay fines and get work permits. Sure, we’ll secure the border, fix our broken immigration system. What I’m proposing really isn’t amnesty or a reward for illegal immigrants, blah, blah, blah.

So said House Speaker Paul Ryan at a CNN town hall, confirming once again that he’s an open borders, Gang of Eight amnesty advocate just like his congressional colleague Lindsey Graham and too many others.

Globalist Ryan advocates for amnesty, but built wall around his mansion.

Sure, some illegal immigrants will learn English, and a few will assimilate, but each of them when work authorized will enter the labor market and, by definition, compete with employed and unemployed Americans for increasingly scarce jobs. Ryan’s cover for his blatant plan to amnesty millions of aliens is that his scheme would issue visas based on what the U.S. economy needs. Since an Economic Policy Institute study found that 1.8 job seekers apply for every available opening, the U.S. needs zero additional visas.

Elected as speaker last October, Ryan has done plenty of damage in just eight months. The year-end Omnibus budget, which the House passed with Ryan’s considerable urging, quadrupled H-2B visas, the cheap labor vehicle loved by seasonal employers, and also funded President Obama’s Syrian and Iraqi refugee resettlement plan, as well as his deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) program, but failed to defund sanctuary cities.

A curious footnote to Ryan’s passionate embrace of amnesty and expanded employment-based visas is that his primary polling numbers are tanking. Since the race began, Ryan has lost 30 points, in part because of his radical trade and immigration advocacy. Ryan, who is running against a politically inexperienced challenger, Paul Nehlen, currently has a 43 percent favorability rating going into the August 9 election.

Ryan wants more immigration, more employment-based visas and more refugees, an agenda that widens the labor shortage gap for unemployed Americans. Contact Speaker Ryan here to tell him to slow mass immigration and to stop giving working-class jobs away.
