Illegal Border Crossings Spike, 7,500 on Sunday Alone

The crisis at our southern border continues to reach new heights, with daily apprehensions climbing and border officials overwhelmed.

According to a recent NBC News report, 

The number of migrants illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border has risen steadily since the start of September, according to two Department of Homeland Security officials, with Border Patrol apprehending more than 7,500 migrants on Sunday alone. 

In July, the latest month for which official data is available, the number of daily apprehensions of illegal border crossers averaged just over 4,300.

And remember, these are apprehensions not total migrants entering the country. There are only estimates for the true number of migrants crossing our southern border. 

What we do know is that many border facilities have become overwhelmed with the recent flood of migrants.

Sadly, disastrous policies have disastrous consequences. The Biden Administration has put out a welcome mat for asylum seekers and created an enormous magnet for illegal immigration..
