Enough is Enough – More than 300 Protests Scheduled for Weekend

Published on July 18th, 2014

After years of failure to enforce U.S. immigration laws and, under President Obama, weakening of immigration laws through executive orders, the border surge of tens of thousands of children, teens and moms from Central America maybe shouldn’t be that much of a surprise.

When you advertise you’re open for business – and incentivize your customers – they will come.

What is surprising – and telling – is that this tsunami of comers, despite being some of the most vulnerable, has been the flashpoint that’s finally getting people riled up enough to get out and protest illegal immigration.

People just don’t understand why this is happening, and they are mad. When they see a flood of people coming to the country illegally and hear Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid say – just this week – that the southern border is secure, they get really mad.

So, Harry, how did 12 million (or more) illegal immigrants accumulate in the country? How have thousands of women and children in recent months chosen to make a dangerous trek to the United States if our border is secure? If they’d heard it was secure, they probably wouldn’t have risked it. No, they’ve heard if you can get there, you’re likely to be let in and be allowed to stay.

Maybe if the federal government hadn’t failed in one of its key responsibilities – defending our borders – and we had not ended up a country with a huge illegal alien population, there might have been more receptivity to permitting thousands of poor, non-English speaking children, teens and moms into the country to stay, given this truly were a humanitarian crisis.

But, that’s not the case. Americans are saying, “Enough is enough.”

This weekend, across the country, people will exercise their right to assemble and protest against illegal immigration and amnesty. If you’re in California, below is information on protest locations (for other states, go here):
